XR Soccer Training is inviting passionate families to host an international soccer player for one to four weeks as part of our Player Exchange Program. This is an exciting opportunity to welcome a young athlete into your home, introduce them to American life, and share in their incredible journey as they train with elite coaches, experience new cultures, and create lifelong memories.

FAQs

  • Host families are responsible for three meals a day, transportation to and from XR training sessions, and giving international players a taste of American culture. For a few weeks, the player becomes a part of your family as you all adventure together.

  • Yes. Once players are matched up with their host families, you can discuss your vacation plans with their families abroad and let XR know you are traveling. This way, they know what to expect and can get excited about seeing more of our country.

  • XR tries to pair previous players who attended Mundialito together. We also try to pair players with the same birth year so they have a partner to train with at our XR training sessions.

  • Yes. Families are welcome to work with other host families to figure out logistics and work around family commitments to share the load.

  • Not a problem! The beauty of this program is building international relationships and understanding other cultures. The common language is soccer and you’ll be surprised how much you can communicate despite language barriers.

  • Yes. All international players will provide any allergies or food restrictions when they sign up to help us match them with host families that can support their needs.

  • Yes. The players' itineraries will be shared with host families so they can be picked up and dropped off at the airport.

  • No problem! Many of our host families work together to get players to the camps if conflicts arise. A WhatsApp group is created with host families and families overseas to ensure players get the most out of their experience and provide help when needed.
